Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel topology for a high gain, high efficiency DC-DC converter required for conditioning the power of low voltage input source. The proposed converter utilizes low voltage, high current and high voltage, low current power devices for its operation. This helps in optimizing the cost and losses by proper selection of devices. Apart from cost, efficiency of the converter is also important. The proposed topology exhibits soft switching feature, which further improves the efficiency of the converter. All the given features offer high application of the proposed converter for renewable sources like PV, fuel cell and battery. All the analytical and simulation results of this work are presented.
