Abstract :
A unique methodology is presented for obtaining accurate orthogonal modal solutions for high index contrast Silicon on Insulator Waveguide Arrays. The Ritz GalerkinVariational procedure wherein the orthogonal basis set is obtained using the Gram Schmidt orthogonalization is presented.
