Abstract :
The study of long-bone magnetobiological repair not only implies adjustment of the magnetic flux density intensity and shape in the time domain but also the orientation of magnetic flux density relative to the fracture area. For this purpose, two mechanically different types of magnetostimulators have been manufactured: one with a single solenoid to place the extremity in, along its axis, and the other with a pair of solenoids, one of them anteriorly and the other posteriorly mounted. One stimulator ensures the perpendicular vector on the fracture area and the other the mutual parallelism. By combining two such stimulators, it is possible to ensure any desired orientation of the magnetic flux density vector in one plane. For directability of the vector in space, one more solenoid pair is necessary.<>
