  • Abstract
In this paper, a new blind and spatial-temporal feature based video watermarking algorithm for H.264/AVC is proposed. The novelty of the scheme lies in calculating an average frame which can represent the spatial-temporal characteristic of video, and creating a compound watermark by uniting the copyright information with average frame. This makes the watermark secure and robust. The other novel feature of the scheme is decomposing compound watermark into 8 bit-planes, and then embedding these bit-planes into different video segment. In watermarking detection, if the most significant bit-plane can be extracted, the copyright information can be recovered. As a result, it increases the watermark capacity while resists the frame dropping attacks. Furthermore, the compressed video bit rate is only increased 0.7% on average. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
