Abstract
Fully polarimetric SAR data analysis has found wide application for terrain classification, land-use, soil moisture and ground cover classification. New methods and algorithms for extracting geophysical parameters from polarimetric data continue to be developed and tested. Many of these methods are designed for specific environments and/or a particular target-type. The authors present general techniques for analysis of polarimetric SAR data. They illustrate these techniques with SIR-C full polarimetric data at L- and C-band
