  • Abstract
Summary form only given. We present an approach enabling independently tunable, intense pulses in extended tuning ranges with adjustable pulse duration. We start with a pulsed, flashlamp-pumped Nd:LiYF/sub 4/ laser utilizing Kerr-lens mode locking and electronic feedback control. The frequency-doubled laser radiation is well suited for the synchronous pumping of two singly resonant optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) in parallel.
