Abstract :
A mathematical model is described that has been used to analyze spatial convolution and its time-domain correlate in the context of electroencephalography. Computer simulations have been carried out to evaluate the possibility of localizing the neural substrate responsible for ictal activity from the spatiotemporal properties of deconvolved scalp potentials. The results show that spatial deconvolution can uncover fine field patterns on the epicortex from surface potential.<>
