Abstract :
Various types of channel sounders have previously been developed with the aim to measure and to investigate the propagation characteristics of wide-band mobile radio channels in different environments. After post-processing the collected data, one often presents the measured power output of the channel as a function of the multipath propagation delay and the Doppler frequency. Such a function is known as scattering function. A serious problem is then to find an analytical channel model and/or a simulation model having the property that its scattering function approximates as close as possible the measured one. In this paper, it is shown that an exact and general solution to this problem exists
