Abstract :
Digital virtual concatenation allows service transmission of high-bandwidth services over existing WDM infrastructures. Results are presented showing 40 Gb/s service transmission over a 2000 km link with 65 ps peak PMD, and over a 8,477 km trans-oceanic network.
