Abstract :
A new scalable video coding based DCT-DWT temporal and spatial transform has been proposed in this paper. The DCT transform reduces the inter-frame redundancy and the DWT transform reduces the intra-frame redundancy. Simulation results show the new method outperforms the MC-DWT and MC-DCT traditional coding method in complexity and scalability.
