Abstract :
As one of the most important applications over the Internet, HTTP traffic is experiencing a fast development period in these few years. The characteristics of the HTTP traffic have been changed due to the introducing of multimedia into web browsing application. One of the most remarkable multimedia pages is the video page which is becoming more and more popular with the web browsing users. In this paper, a novel traffic model for the video page is proposed. Parameters of this new model are estimated based on the real captured traces. Model verification is given and simulation results show that the new model has better results than the traditional model.
