Abstract :
The contingent valuation method is used here to investigate the WTP (willingness to pay) of residents on city forest purification. Survey results show that 66% of the residents think that the quality of air is better. As high as 96% of the residents revealed positive attitudes towards strengthening city forest input. 70.5% of the residents are willing to donate 33.2 yuanmiddota-1. And more than 80% of the residents are willing to contribute 5.5 hourmiddota-1. Willingness to pay mainly depends on such factors as family income, education level and the time of doing physical exercises outside. At present, investment in city forest compensation is still limited. Above all, putting economical compensatory on city forest must be accord with residents´ willingness to pay
