Abstract
This paper proposes a closed-form estimation technique for a wideband constant amplitude polynomial-phase signal embedded in white Gaussian noise. It is shown that it is possible to jointly estimate the highest order phase coefficient and direction of arrivals of the signal through a closed-form method. Hence it is, computationally, much simpler than maximum likelihood method which involves highly non-linear multidimensional optimization. Simulation and comparative results are included to show its effectiveness.
