  • Abstract
    This paper presents an implementation of space vector-based hysteresis current controller (SVBHCC) for full converter wind generation (FCWG) system. SVBHCC is utilized to regulate current in the grid side converter of FCWG system to improve the performance of the generation system such as its ability to ride through grid faults during grid disturbances. Simulation studies are carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK for a 5 × 2 MW FCWG system to validate the proposed control method. The results show that aforementioned current controller exhibits excellent transient performance using a simple control structure. In addition, the wind farm can help to ride through the grid faults without requiring additional control strategies.
