  • Abstract
How to screen the Logistics forecast indexes is essential to logistics demand forecast. Port throughput and its related indexes have been analyzed in this paper, and a series of screening principles and method have been proposed. The ports in North Gulf of Guangxi are taken as an example in which grey correlation analysis and data processing software tool have been applied to find the correlations between Port Throughput in North Gulf of Guangxi and related forecast indexes based the data from 1990 to 2008. Finally, a group of well-constructed indexes with a high correlation were chosen as the final port throughput forecast indexes.
