Abstract :
An information model continues to be a fundamental constituent in understanding complex environments. The TMF´s eTOM is a complete business process oriented view of a service provider and the SID is being positioned as the information model. It is claimed that the use of an extended and expanded version of policy based management can automate many of the processes. This paper examines how PBNM, eTOM and SID can be combined to achieve an automated SLA monitoring service. It maps the assurance (monitoring) portion of the SLA process onto the TMF SID information model detailing the used SLA entities and policy rules involved
