Abstract :
Through the systematic analysis, a conceptual model assessing Livable city is established to revalue the cities of China. Elements contributing to quality of livable environmental status are carefully selected and then the evaluation index system is established according to the model. The weights of elements are calculated based on AHP. In order to get more logical results, the appropriate evaluation model-Multiplicative model is chosen to analyze. With several Chinese cities for case study, the result shows that the evaluation model can be regarded as a kind of relatively scientific method in evaluating urban habitability.
