Abstract :
The proper selection of critical drives in a cement plant is of the utmost importance as to how well the plant will function over its lifetime. Productivity, efficiency, reliability, longevity, and long-term costs are all affected by the original selection of the equipment and drives. The proper selection of critical process drives is a very difficult task requiring teamwork from the equipment supplier, the end user, and others. This paper examines the considerations, specific technologies, and other factors required to make the proper drive selections for cement plants.
