Abstract :
In this paper, three significant control methods for permanent magnet synchronous machine are presented. A new control method enjoys the advantages of vector control and direct torque control is proposed. This method avoids some of the implementation difficulties of either of the two control methods. The proposed control method using the same flux and torque estimators as for the basic DTC and the same space vector modulation strategy and two proportional-integral (PI) controllers as for the vector control. The new strategy improves the high performances by combining low torque ripple characteristic and a constant switching frequency in steady state with a high dynamic response.
