Abstract :
An original analysis is presented for a new hybrid pulse modulation in which the information is conveyed by combining polarity and position of multiple pulses in a frame of slots. It is demonstrated that this new modulation scheme offers improved data rate and energy efficiency over the conventional modulation for pulsed Ultra-Wideband (UWB).
