Abstract :
A novel 6-level DPSK based system and an efficient signal generation method are proposed to achieve 2.5 bits/symbol coding, which enables 100 Gb/s system using 40 Gb/s device technology. Signal generation and reception are experimentally verified at 10.7 Gsymbol/s.
