Abstract :
We demonstrate a near-noiseless amplification scheme for analog optical signals. The noise figure of a frequency-non-degenerate phase-sensitive fiber parametric amplifier is measured to be close to the Raman limit (~≃ 0.5 dB) in the fiber.
