Social networking sites have become the lifeline for communication among individuals. Social network is a graph between the actors. Actors are represented as nodes. The links between the nodes represent the relationship between the actors. Social networking sites are one form of social media technology. Social media technology provides opportunity for synchronous and asynchronous communication. Various social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter allow users to communicate and discuss their opinions. Social media has benefits and disadvantages. This paper elucidates various cyber issues such as cyber-bullying, Internet banging and cyber-attacks. The different methods used by the attackers have been discussed. It includes a review of the privacy issues which arise due to the lack of privacy knowledge and skills or the ignorance of the actors of social network graph. Finally, the solutions to privacy attacks have been discussed in this paper.
