Abstract :
In image retrieval and identification technology, image texture feature extraction and recognition is a better way. Texture is a feature which is common and difficult to describe in the image. Texture feature extraction and recognition is an important part of image retrieval study based on content. This paper utilizes Wavelet Technology, proposes a texture feature extraction and recognition algorithm based on Wavelet packet transform and singular value decomposition, and by measuring calculation distance of European space, obtain the image which is closest to sample image.
