Abstract :
In this paper, a novel channel estimator is proposed for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems with intercarrier interference (ICI). This estimator includes two parts: the channel parameter estimation unit (CPEU) and the channel coefficient estimation unit (CCEU). In CPEU, two channel parameters, the number of channel taps and the multipath time delays, are estimated. In CCEU, the channel coefficients are estimated by utilizing the over-sampling basis expansion model (OBEM) and the channel parameters provided by CPEU. Simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
