Abstract :
For a class of networked systems consisting of heterogeneous multi-dimensional subsystems, this paper proposes a novel knock-out-based method to identify the strength of the interaction between specified two nodes based on the input-output data of the networked systems, under the condition that the dynamics of the corresponding nodes is known. Our method does not require any information on dynamics of the other nodes as well as network structure among the other nodes. We also extend this method to the case in which the dynamics of the two nodes whose edge is identified is changed instead of the knock-out operation, i.e., to a knock-down-based identification method.
