Abstract :
The present article describes some results on the JERS-1 L-band SAR imagery of oceanic features including surface and internal waves near the coasts of Japan. Based on these results, we discuss, with particular reference to oceanic applications, the ability of the PALSAR on board the ALOS satellite scheduled to launched in 2002 by NASDA
