Abstract
We compared direct-detection optical-OFDM systems with QPSK, QAM 16 and QAM64 subcarrier modulation for increase of bitrate. Reduced sensitivties of 7.1 dB and 14.8 dB have been found while increasing the data rate from 10 to 20 and 30Gb/s.
