Abstract :
A single stage AC/DC power factor correction converter with an improved energy processing is proposed in this paper. The purpose of this converter is to obtain a low output voltage (3.3 V) to supply power to the new generations of integrated circuits. With this converter, a high power factor and a tight regulated output voltage are achieved. A high efficiency is obtained thanks to the improvement in the energy management as well as the use of self-driven synchronous rectification technique. An experimental prototype shows the benefits of this approach
