Abstract :
Optical pulses with 3-ps, 3.4-ps, and 3.8-ps widths at frequencies of 40, 20, and 10 GHz, respectively, are obtained by externally attaching a conventional single-mode fiber to the mode-locked fiber laser to compensate for the dispersion.
