Abstract :
When the surface of W(100) was modified by Pr-oxide, the work function of the W surface was reduced to 2.7 eV. The reducing mechanism of the work function has not been understood completely. In this report, Pr-oxide/W(110) surface was observed by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and was compared with Pr-oxide/W(100) surface to understand the reducing mechanism of the work function.
