Abstract :
The fabricated polarization insensitive semiconductor arrayed waveguide grating integrated with spotsize converter features a low loss of 7 dB and a low polarization dependent loss of 0.2 dB on average. The channel crosstalk is lower than -27 dB for all channels. Misalignment tolerance is enlarged by /spl plusmn/2 /spl mu/m.
