Abstract :
The effect of the seasonal variable delivery time (SVDT) on the production and inventory planning is studied in this paper. We investigate two situations of SVDT subjecting to linear function and non-linear function and conclude that the fluctuating of the delivery time can influence the production system severely. Dynamic programming method is adopted to solve the problems and numerical example is presented.
