  • Abstract
    Coupling among multistacked optical waveguides by grating couplers is discussed for application to interchip optical interconnects. Wavelength selective contradirectional coupling among three stacked waveguides is discussed with experimental results. A new type of grating coupler is proposed and demonstrated for efficiency improvement.
