Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a novel reference modification dc-dc converter using the reactor current sensing method and to compared its transient characteristics with the conventional output current sensing method. The proposed method uses the reactor current sensing method with the R-C filter in order to exclude the sensing resistor for the output current sensing method. Moreover, transient characteristics are suppressed by modifying the reference value in the P control at the moment of the transient state. The modifying of reference value operates only when the output voltage becomes larger than a plus-minus 0.5% from the steady-state value, and is terminated when the undershoot of output voltage has reached the maximum value. As the result, superior transient response can be obtained.
