Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to present a transient response of proposed quick response peak current control dc-dc converter. In the proposed method, the peak current is able to be detected in real time by using voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) which is very low cost and a high speed A-D converter. The proposed circuit generates the turn off signal of the main switch. In simulated results, the undershoot of output voltage is improved to 31% compared with the conventional method. The convergence time is also improved to 75%. Therefore, it is confirmed that the proposed method has a superior transient response to control dc-dc converters.
