Abstract :
Carbon nanotube (CNT) with unique structure and excellent physical property such as low turn-on electric field and high emission current, stable emission current, long life time is a promising material for electron source and electrode. In this conference, micro-sized plasma sustained in low pressure hydrogen gas by using CNTs as electrode will be presented. By microscopy and digital camera, the discharge size was basically calibrated. We compare the real discharging images in 5 Torr and 10 Torr by increasing the net power supply gradually.
