            Abstract :
This paper demonstrates a new Petri net model, the prioritized Petri net (P-net). The modeling power and properties of P-nets are analyzed. This model is developed from the object composition Petri net (OCPN) and the extended OCPN (XOCPN). The P-net model is applied to the distributed multimedia synchronization: the distributed object composition Petri net (DOCPN) model. Using the DOCPN model, we can coordinate operations among distributed computer sites
