Abstract :
We introduce a method based on erasure correctable codes for broadcasting and multicasting in cognitive radio domain. We study three major cognitive radio paradigms and bring the facts that why underlay cognitive radio is the desired scheme for multicasting in cognitive radio. After selecting underlay paradigm, since conventional error recovery methods perform poorly we propose an error recovery method based on erasure correctable codes which can recover erased packets without the effect of the primary user´s channel occupation rate. Finally we will show the simulation results to clarify our findings.
