Abstract :
A methodology using AI and mobile knowledge bases in knowledge attributed Petri nets (KPANs) to promote the simulation of flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) is presented. The choice of Petri net and the general aspects of the Petri nets used are discussed. Application of the principles is illustrated using the CASSANDRA simulation system
