Abstract :
Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) are very promising technology and will play an important role in future generation wireless mobile networks. In Wireless Mesh Networks the main goal is to get the best possible quality and efficiency of data transmission between source and destination nodes. Therefore, a variety of routing metrics has been proposed for wireless mesh networks providing routing algorithms with high flexibility in the selection of best path and offering a compromise between throughput, end-to-end delay, energy consumption and control overhead. In this paper, we present a detailed survey of routing metrics based on their classification.
