Abstract :
This paper proposes a power conversion circuit for the high-brightness white LED lamp powered by the solar-cell panel with a subsidiary battery set. The system operation is illustrated by five states according to the power flowing among the solar panel, the battery set, and the LED lamp under different sunlight intensities. A laboratory circuit designed for an 18 W LED lamp is built and tested to verify the theoretical analyses.
