Abstract
A new method for solving balanced, unbalanced radial distribution network is presented. The proposed method involves evaluations of a simple algebraic expression of voltage magnitude and no trignometric functions as opposed to the standard load flow case. Thus computationally, the proposed method is more efficient and it requires less computer memory storage because all the data can be stored in vector form. The improved load flow method for distribution systems helps in efficient operational planning of the electric power distribution systems is presented in this paper.
