Abstract
Visual search tasks are widely used in various industries and they have been studied extensively and theoretically in the area of human factors. An experiment was conducted here to investigate the visual search strategy for a search task of three targets with identical difficulty. Thirty students participated in this experiment whose ages ranged from 21 to 27 (16male, 14 female). The results obtained revealed that participants tended to use random search strategy in this experiment. The regression models pertaining to the relationship between cumulative detection probability and search time for three targets were also given in the paper.
