            Abstract : 
This paper describes the structure and the main functions of GLI-DIS (Global Imager-Data Information System) presently installed at NASDA EORC. GLI-DIS was developed to generate high level products making use of data obtained from GLI, a 36-channel sensor mounted on the platform ADEOS-II planned for launch in November 2001. The algorithms used to create these products were developed by an international team of scientists selected through an RA (Research Announcement) program. This paper introduces also a pre-launch validation plan for these algorithms. Two kinds of data, simulated GLI Synthetic Data, and MODIS data will be used for this purpose
