Abstract
Currently, there are different database management systems (DBMS) available and the integration between different database systems is required. There are tools and techniques available for schema matching, but most of them require manual intervention. However, in this paper, a new algorithm named as Multi-Source Heterogeneous Database Integration (MSHDI) is proposed which effectively performs 1:1 and M:1 database integration and determines semantic matches automatically. This paper introduces a novel experimentation with existing heterogeneous database systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Excel for schema matching and data integration. In comparison with existing algorithms, this approach achieves full automation and better results on any real-world databases of same domain.
