Abstract :
A novel fabrication method of ion beam induced chemical vapor deposition (IBICVD) has been successfully used to prepare FePt and CoPt nano-particles. Both FePt and CoPt particles show fcc structures and soft ferromagnetic properties. Decreasing the Ga+ ion beam current may improve the crystallization structure. Concentric ring domain patterns were observed in FePt and annealed CoPt particles.
