Abstract
Squinted SAR raw data are acquired in “nonorthogonal” geometry whereas the focusing operation is usually carried out with respect to “orthogonal”, cylindrical, geometry. This paper describes a conical geometry SAR processing and shows that a mismatch between the acquisition and processing geometry induces phase artifacts in the output image that may have a relevant impact in the interferometric applications
