Abstract :
We investigated room-temperature dynamics of an internal field-induced second-order nonlinearity (SON) in a poled fiber subject to an external DC field (±1.1 MV/cm), and obtained an internal SON of ~0.01 pm/V with a time constant of ~20 s.
