Abstract :
This paper describes the new soft-switching boost-type dc-dc converter with the coupling inductor for the continuous current mode operation. This configuration enables zero current switching at turn-on in continuous current mode operation. The coupling inductor can commutate the primary side current at turn-off to realize the zero current switching at turn-on and can suppress the overvoltage of the lossless snubber capacitor at the same time. The simulation and experimental results of the characteristics of the proposed circuit are shown.
